Interested in doing a night dive? Gordon's bay is perfect for a first timer. It has an underwater nature trail marked out by chains, making it incredibly easy to navigate. Gordon's bay has octopi, nudibranchs, moray eels, and plenty of fish. During the night all this night life that hides out under the rocks comes to life and can really change the landscape.

For a map of the dive site and the nature trail, check out: https://www.viz.org.au/sydneys-shore-dive-sites/gordons-bay

There is also more information on Michael Mcfayden's website (although he calls it thompsons bay): https://www.michaelmcfadyenscuba.info/viewpage.php?page_id=282

Conditions permitting. We'll be gearing up in clovelly carpark, which is free, and walking down the rest of the way. The carpark is marked in the event location. There are buses that go there as well.

We'll probably be aiming to meet at 7 and getting in the water at 7:30 but the sun does need to be down for a night dive so the time may change closer to the day.

The club has  gear you can hire. Check out below for the prices. Please note that you will require a torch for this dive as it will be dark (duh). Unfortunately the club doesn't have any torches. You can rent torches from Dive Centre Bondi for $15, 5 mins up the road from Gordon's bay, or you can ask your local dive shop. If you're struggling to find one don't stress, get in touch with us and we can find one for you. When night diving you also need identification lights (glow sticks) so that people can see you. The club will provide those.

Gordon's bay is shallower than 20m but given that it is a night dive a minimum of 8 dives is required.
