Bare Island Shore Dive (Magic Point Cancelled)

Unfortunately we have had to cancel the Magic Point share dive. The swell is predicted to be a 2m easterly which will make the dive very unpleasant.

Instead we will do two shore dives at Bare Island.

Hello Doutsies! You all wanted more shore dives, so here they are!

Joined to the mainland by a small timber bridge, Bare Island is perfect for diving in almost all weather. In even moderate seas you can safely dive in almost any spot and in very heavy seas you can usually dive the protected (right) side of the island.

There are many different dives can be done around the island itself, as well as along the shore on either side of the bridge.  Options for the day include the western isolated reefs and deep wall (20m) and/or the inner reef.  For more information on what you may find at these sites, see:

Time: We will have two groups of divers.

The first group will meet at Bare Island at 9:00am sharp, to be kitted and ready to enter the water at 9:30am.

The second group will meet at Bare Island at 11:00am sharp, to be kitted and ready to enter the water at 11:30am.

Cost: FREE

Gear Hire: DOUTS gear hire is available. The closest dive shop for all other gear is ProDive Alexandria.

Transport: If travelling by car, there is plenty of parking available at/near the site. Public transport information is also available at https://transportnsw.info/
