DOUTS is a UTS sports club, which relies on its members to volunteer and contribute to the running of Club activities. The Committee of the Club has the responsibility of ensuring that the Club operates for the benefit of members and the UTS community and does so in a safe manner. Individual members have responsibility to participate in a safe and considerate manner to other members.
DOUTS is committed to introducing and promoting the sport of scuba diving to the UTS community, managing scuba diving in a safe and supportive environment, and encouraging, supporting and conducting marine research. DOUTS remains affiliated with Activate UTS and acts at all times in the interest of its members, diving at UTS, and the public interest.
In order to achieve these objectives, DOUTS membership is open to two main groups. The first group are UTS Students, students of other institutions, UTS Staff or alumni. The second group consists of a limited number of Community Members who are referred to the club by a current DOUTS member or the DOUTS committee.
